Welcome to Investment Climate

Let’s imagine, for a moment, that you’re a moderately rich person. You’ve got an unknown uncle who died childless and left you his estate, or you won the lottery, or you saved up every cent for 25 years, or maybe your father gave you a small loan of a million dollars. It doesn’t really matter, what matters is that now you’ve got a decent amount in your bank account collecting interest, and you’re ready to make that bank account work for you! But how should you go about it? Should you play on the stock market? Gamble in a casino? Just let it sit and live off interest? What if there’s a different way? I know that I sound like a bad telemarketer, but that aside, let’s take a moment to talk about investment!

What is investment, really? Most people believe that it’s something extremely complicated, involving many numbers, complicated calculations, financial specialists, stocks, percentages, taxes and all that kind of nonsense. To be fair, most, if not all high-level investments do happen to include most of those, that’s not what all investments are. An “investment”, in the business sense, is anything that you place money into with the expectation of a higher return, be it monetary or otherwise. For example, you may invest in a business or real estate in order to collect the revenue that this business made, or you can invest in, say, education, or the development or some type of tool, something that won’t make back any money to you soon (probably ever), but will be useful in other areas that will.

Whether you’re simply investing in your education or in a multibillion dollar company, whether you’re buying real estate or investing in stocks, hopefully this blog will have a little something for you! Welcome to Investment Climate!
